Wickens Herzer Panza Announces Changes to Sandusky Office

Since 2007, Wickens Herzer Panza has proudly maintained an office in Sandusky, Ohio. John Frankel, a shareholder in the Firm's corporate and estate planning practice, has been the attorney in charge of that office in recent years.  WHP has enjoyed great relationships with clients and business partners in and around Sandusky, but recently the Firm accepted an unsolicited offer for the  property at 414 Wayne Street.  The transition in ownership will result in the property being repurposed into “co-working space.” Once this process is complete WHP intends to return to Wayne Street, utilizing office and conference facilities at the refurbished location.

As a result, effective November 30, 2022, WHP will temporarily suspend operations at the 414 Wayne Street building. For the near term, True Alpha Wealth Management, 5004 Timber Commons Drive, has graciously made conference space available to the Firm for client meetings. WHP will continue to serve all of its clients in Sandusky and the surrounding region.

"Given our Firm's great connections in the area and our important client base in the region, we want everyone to know that we fully intend to continue to be a market leader in the practice of law in Sandusky," WHP President Matthew Nakon commented. "Our commitment to the community and our clients dictates that we remain focused in Sandusky and the region, but the fact is our Wayne Street building has more space than is appropriate for the way law is practiced in the post-pandemic era. However, it is a wonderful, historic and architecturally significant property, which we look forward to sharing after it is refurbished."

John Frankel will continue to manage the Firm's Sandusky practice and remains excited about WHP's future in the region. "This Firm has supported both me and so many clients in Sandusky. I know we are positioning ourselves the right way for the future," said Frankel. DJ Swearingen, an associate and a member of Ohio's General Assembly, will continue his work in the community and remain associated with the Firm. Brandon Leal, an associate who focuses his practice on estate planning, real estate, and general corporate matters, will continue to service the Sandusky market as well. All phone numbers and email addresses for John, DJ, and Brandon remain the same.
