LEARN MORE ABOUT AMY

Tell us a little bit about your history and how you came to be at Wickens Herzer Panza.

I taught chemistry after college and went to law school at night. I clerked at AT&T and worked at a large Cleveland firm for 5 years after law school before coming to Wickens Herzer Panza.

What one quote resonates with you, either personally or professionally (or both)?

“Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin.”
– Mother Teresa

Why did you begin practicing this area of law in the first place?

After participating in the Employment Law Clinic in law school, I was hooked. Labor and Employment Law is always changing, involves interesting situations and allows me to be proactive and help my clients avoid litigation.

What's in your wallet/purse right this very minute? What do you never leave home without?

My phone, eyeglass cleaner wipes, pens (many pens), gum.

Tell us something unique about yourself.

I have a degree in chemistry and a certification in American Sign Language (my foreign language in college). I have completed a fire walk (yes, that means walking on fire) on three occasions.

Tell me about your most recent big "win."

Working in Labor and Employment, my practice focuses on Human Resource issues. Recently, I helped a client deal with a sexual harassment situation that resulted in terminating an employee. It was rewarding to help guide the client to make the right decision and also be able to provide training to strengthen the client's workforce in the process.
