Matt Danese is a member of the Litigation and Employment and Labor Departments.
Matt’s Litigation practice includes managing all phases of litigation from inception to resolution. He has experience representing various industries, including business, individual, and governmental clients in complex civil litigation. He has both defended and advocated for clients in state and federal court, in areas such as contract claims, shareholder disputes, tort, and employment lawsuits.
Matt’s Employment & Labor practice concentrates on management-side client representation. He represents employers in all aspects of employment and labor law in state and federal court, including defending against discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and FLSA violation lawsuits. He also has extensive experience representing employers in administrative hearings, including before the Bureau of Workers’ Compensation, the Ohio Industrial Commission, the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Ohio Civil Rights Commission, and the Ohio Bureau of Wage & Hour Administration. Matt also provides day-to-day employment counseling to employers, advising on all areas of employment law such as employee termination, employee handbooks, and workplace safety. Matt is Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30-Hour General Industry Certified.
