Jack Mills is a member of the Firm’s Corporate and Business Transactions Department and Real Estate and Construction practice group. During his career, Jack has represented Fortune 500 companies, privately held businesses, and non-profit organizations on corporate, commercial, real estate, and construction matters.
As part of Jack’s corporate and business law practice, Jack counsels clients on mergers and acquisitions, buying and selling assets, and entity formation, and regularly negotiates contracts for the purchase and sale of goods, license agreements, distribution agreements, transportation and logistics.
In addition, Jack has extensive experience advising clients across multiple jurisdictions on real estate and construction matters, including leasing and subleasing, the sale and purchase of real estate, local zoning and permitting, financing, and tax appeals. Jack’s representation of general contractors, design builders, subcontractors, developers, owners, specialty trades, suppliers, and manufacturers extends to all aspects of construction law, including the negotiation and preparation of construction documents, construction claim defense, management and avoidance of project-specific risks, payment and performance bonds, mechanics’ liens, attested accounts, and dispute resolution.
Jack takes pride in being a trusted, commercially minded thought partner and in providing pragmatic guidance on complex issues, while zealously advocating on behalf of clients.
