Mr. Ellis is a member of the Business Organizations & Tax Department and serves on the Firm’s Board of Directors as Vice President and Secretary to the Corporation. His primary expertise is in real estate. He is involved in commercial and industrial development, acquisition, sales, and leasing. He is active in the development of residential and commercial subdivisions and condominium projects. In addition, he handles all aspects of development, zoning, and government liaison and formation of entities to hold real estate and related income tax and real estate tax matters.
For five years, Mr. Ellis was an instructor in real estate law at Lorain County Community College and has given many talks to bar, real estate broker, and building trades associations. He has been involved in the Lorain County Bar Association and served as President from 1988-1989. He has been very active in community affairs. Among other things, he was a trustee of the Public Library System and was active in the construction of several new library facilities and related real estate activities. He is currently Secretary of the Lorain Loan Board, which administers federally funded loan programs for the City of Lorain.
